The 2008 Acustic, a blend of 55% Samso (Carinena) and 45% Garnacha aged for 10-11 months in French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it offers up aromas of incense, violets, blackberry, and blueberry. Structured on the palate, this lengthy, layered effort will evolve for 2-3 years and deliver peak drinking from 2013 to 2020. It is a great value - Jay Miller

The 2007 Acustic is a blend of 55% Samso (Carinena) and 45% Garnacha aged for 10 to 11 months in seasoned French oak. Purple-colored, it offers up an alluring perfume of smoke, mineral, underbrush, blueberry, and black cherry. This is followed by a full-bodied wine with tons of blue and black fruit, spice and mineral notes, and enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years. It should be at its best from 2010 to 2018. It is an excellent introduction to the style of the region. – Jay Miller

The 2006 Acustic is a notable value composed of 55% Samso and 45% Garnacha aged for 10 months in French oak. Dark ruby/purple, it exhibits a fragrant bouquet of cedar, spice box, mineral, and black cherry. This leads to a smooth-textured, elegant, sweetly-fruited wine already revealing considerable complexity. There is some silky tannin lurking in the background which will allow this tasty effort to drink well through 2020. – Jay Miller

Robert Parker, februari 2007
92/100
The 2005 Acustic is composed of 55% Samso (Carignan) and 45% Garnacha aged for 10 months in French oak. Saturated purple in color, it offers fragrant earth, spice, blueberry liqueur aromatics. Full-bodied, with opulent black fruit flavors, this wine is dense and packed. The tannins, oak, and acidity are well-integrated and the finish is pure and long. Drink it now and over the next 10-15 years. There are only 650 cases of this killer value. Kudos to Acustic for making great wines at more than fair prices! - Jay Miller
