The 2009 BOSSA is a blend of Maria Gomes (95%) with a dollop of Bica,
fermented in stainless steel. Friendly and perky, with good fruit and
a lemon lime tang, this is an uncomplicated wine that is a lot of fun
and reasonably refreshing. It just needs to be drunk as young and fresh
as possible for peak results, because I don’t think it will be this charming
for long. While at peak, it is a very nice value. There were 15,000 bottles
produced. Drink now-2011.
This company is owned by Filipa Pato, daughter of well
known Baga specialist Luis Pato, and her husband, sommelier William Wouters.
Vinhos Doidos translates as “crazy wines.

Super-fresh wine made from the northern Portuguese grape Maria Gomez fashioned
by the daughter of local wine guru Luis Pato. We are urged, on the label,
to drink it and dance. Should be smoother next year. 12.5% Drink 2009-10
